“OUT OF THE BOX”. TECNOSTAMPA MEETS GRAFFITI ART

Out of the Box chronicles a highly sought-after collection by the publisher and gallery director Mr. Phillips A. Koss, in which the works of AtZ, a world-famous anonymous graffiti artist , have been put together to highlight the genius of the movement and artist.
Mr. Phillips A. Koss has chosen Tecnostampa of Loreto, Italy, overseas, from the Arizona desert to Europe, to transfer and collect AtZ’s works, partly displayed in his gallery in Scottsdale – Arizona, and equip his own gallery of a true work of art too, the book, to enclose them in a single testimony.

“The feeling of positivity that comes from each piece is overwhelming. The time has come when street art not only deals with negative events but also with positive facts of our lives and how we should strive to build our emotions.” (Cornbread)

AtZ
AtZ has mastered the ability to transform common images into meaningful and introspective pieces. AtZ works mainly with acrylics, spray paints and stencils. Having had no academic training, he looks to his predecessors in the world of street art such as Crash, Banksy and Bambi, as well as the masters of Pop Art including Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat. AtZ finds himself particularly attracted to Renaissance art, strongly influenced by the works admired in museums. He sees a parallel between his work and Renaissance art, which sought to capture the experience of the individual, the beauty and mystery of the world. He continues to grow with each painting, considering each work of art created as an integral part of his artistic journey that teaches him something valuable to carry forward. He describes painting and the act of creation as what brings him peace. AtZ finds his inspiration in every person he meets and in the unstable and changing world around him.

The fascination of anonymous street art can only be further fueled by the message of love, hope, and happiness being created by children in a positive way. A clear influence can be seen from the Prince of Pop, all the revolutionary street artists before him from Cornbread to Banksy, and even the Renaissance painters. Like them, AtZ marks another time of rebirth that sparks a newfound awareness of humanity, nature, and as you will see our interactions with the world around us.” Phillips A.
